    Under the theme “Reimagining Innovation Pathways for Sustainability: Research, Practice and Policy,” the conference invites researchers, policymakers, innovators, and thought leaders from around the world to engage in transformative dialogue on advancing sustainability. Building on the success of its inaugural edition held in Kigali, Rwanda (2025), ICGSD 2026 will provide a collaborative platform for exploring how indigenous knowledge systems, emerging technologies, and afrocentric innovation can be integrated to drive sustainable research, practice, and policy. Hosted by the North-West University (NWU) Business School, the conference is presented in partnership with the University of Kigali (Rwanda), University of Fort Hare (South Africa), Tshwane University of Technology (South Africa), and KCA University (Kenya).
